Eng. Chaykov Signed the Contract for the Development of an Expanded Conceptual Design for the Tunnel under Shipka

Stefan Chaykov, signed the Contract for the development of an expanded conceptual design for project: Road ІІІ-5004 Bypass of the town of Gabrovo from km 0+000 to km 31+000, tunnel under Shipka Peak with a length of 3220 m from km 24+400 to km 27+620“. The Project is cо-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and the national budget through Operational Program Transport 2007-2013.

The Minister of Regional Development, Desislava Terzieva, the Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications, Danail Papazov, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Road Infrastructure Agency, eng. Stefan Chaykov, the permanent representative of the World Bank, Marcus Repnik, advisors and experts from the World Bank, the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the state administration and others participated in it.

Stefan Chaykov have checked the progress in the construction of Lot 2 Dupnitsa – Blagoevgrad of Struma motorway from km 322+000 to km 359+483.52. The Project is cо-financed by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union and the national budget through Operational Transport 2007-2013.  

The European Commission Approved the Project for Construction of the North Speed Tangent on Operational Program Regional Development 2007-2013

SST__.jpgThe project „North Speed Tangent from km 0+000 to km 16+540”, on Operational Program Regional Development 2007 – 2013 was approved by a Resolution of the European Commission on 4 June 2014. The Project will be financed under the scheme „Support for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Second and Third Class Roads”. The total length of North Speed Tangent will be 16,54 km. The road project is of significance for the City of Sofia and the country, as Trakia, Hemus and Lyulin motorways as well as the road Sofia – Kalotina intersect within the project.
